Interior Decorating

Harmonious Interiors will help you transform an empty space, outdated space or residential office space into a wonderful space. Interior decorating services can include: paint colour selection, furniture and flooring selection, lighting selection, selecting accessories, space planning and window treatment selection. Always working within the client's budget, Harmonious Interiors provides consulting services beginning at $80/hour (minimum of 1 hour) up to full room decorating at cost plus commission beginning at 20%.

Colour Consultations

For some people, picking the paint colour for the walls of a space can be very frustrating and time consuming. Let Harmonious Interiors take that frustration away and save you from wasting further time. Allow Teresa to come to your home and help you pick appropriate colour(s) for your space(s). Colour consultations begin at $80/hour (minimum of 1 hour) or $50.00 for just one room.

Feng Shui (for Interior Decorating)

Feng Shui is essentially the placement of objects in our environment for optimal Ch’i (life force/energy) flow. The ancient art of Feng Shui (literally translates to Wind {or air} and Water) works by balancing and harmonizing Ch’i between people and their environments. People all around the world now are using Feng Shui to improve their personal and work environments and make them more comfortable. People apply Feng Shui principles and guidelines to their interior and exterior environments to improve areas of their life such as health, wealth, career and relationships.

Teresa applies the principles and guidelines of the Three Door approach (based on works of Grandmaster and Professor Lin Yun) which includes using the Bagua and aligning it with your front door. The Three Door approach is flexible, personal and requires the client to be an active participant (requires client involvement, intention and judgement).

Part of the balancing act is to ensure there is a proper proportion of the five elements in each space: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. (See if you can identify all 5 elements in the company logo at the top of the page - they all exist!)

The first guideline in Feng Shui is: get rid of as much clutter as possible. The second is…well you will have to wait and see when you invite Teresa to your house for a consultation. Consultations will require either a copy of a scaled floorplan (from the builder), or a reasonably accurate hand drawn floorplan of the house. Feng Shui consultations start at $80/hr (minimum 1 hr).

Home Staging and Redesign

Are you considering moving, or about to list your home for sale? Ensure that it is ready for a quick sale and a higher price by having it staged. It has been proven time and again that a staged home has its advantages. The home staging process can include: depersonalizing, de-cluttering, packing items which are not going to be displayed during the showings, colour consultations, and rearranging furniture and accessories for showings. Home staging starts at $80/hr (minimum 1 hr).

Redesign is basically rearranging the furniture and accessories in a client's home for a different and more comfortable living space. This process can take place at any time of the year and for any reason. Sometimes people just want a change but not to the full extent of repainting and buying new furniture and accessories. Redesign services start at $60/hr (minimum 1 hr).

Professional Organizing

Organizing your home can be a daunting task if there is a lot of stuff to sort through and you need to store some of the items properly. For some people it is overwhelming because of many years of collecting and not using things, or it is because they have inherited several items and boxes of stuff from someone. For some it is time to get organized because all the children have finally moved out. The need to get organized could be for any number of reasons.

If you are in need of getting rid of clutter, getting your house organized and/or need storage solutions, then invite Harmonious Interiors into your home and change your home for the better. Organizing services start at $60/hr (minimum 1 hr). (Organizing services must be paid in full at the end of each working day).

Special Occasion Decorating

If you are running out of time and a special occasion is fast approaching or you feel like having someone else decorate this year, Teresa would be delighted to help you decorate for the occasion! Whether it is a birthday, baby or bridal shower, school graduation, Canada Day celebration, a barbecue, Thanksgiving, Halloween, or Christmas, Teresa will make it beautiful! Special occasion decorating services begin at $60/hour (minimum of 1 hour).
